HSS are currently working on some of Brisbane’s largest projects, including; The Yards-RNA, Lend Lease; 310 Ann Street, Hutchinson Builders; North Lakes Shopping Centre Link Mall, Scentre Group; 1 William Street, Qld Government Building & 300 George Street with Brookfield Multiplex.

Tradesman/Boilermakers – Workshop

Qualified Boilermakers/Fabricators who are team players and will manage their work load to deliver production requirements while maintaining a strong focus on safe work practices and quality.

Criteria:

At least 5 years minimum experience in the fabrication of structural steel
Can read and have a clear understanding of drawings in Tekla, StruCad & AutoCAD format.
Willing to work overtime when required
Work Autonomously
Good work ethic
Safety orientated

Apprentice – Workshop

HSS are regularly looking for 1^st and 2^nd year Apprentices to join our team. This is a great opportunely to secure a full time position and set up your future with a qualification. All training will be completed through Skills Tech.

HSS will also consider young individuals who are willing to learn, with good work ethics that have completed Pre Vocational/Introduction Course in the Engineer-Fabrication Trade.

Criteria, but not a requirement:

Average/sound welding & fabrication skills
Experience with working with Structural Steel
Construction Safety Blue Card
Have their own basic hand tools for the trade
Drivers licence would be an advantage
Good work ethic
Safety orientated

Workshop employees are employed under our Workshop Enterprise Agreement, HSS Construction Pty Ltd Hosken Site Steel Pty Ltd Enterprise Agreement 2012.

Rigger – Site

Qualified Riggers who are team players and will manage their work load and deliver projects to set project programmes while marinating a strong focus on safe work practices and quality. Qualified Riggers with a Boilermaker/Trade Certificate is an advantage.

Criteria:

Minimum 5 years’ experience in a similar role
Intermediate/Advanced Riggers/Dogman Rickets
Current EWP/Scissor Tickets essential
Slew Crane – optional
Current Construction Blue Card
Can read and have clear understanding of Structural, Architectural & HSS set out drawings
Good work Ethics
Safety Orientated

Site employees are employed under our Site Enterprise Agreement, HSS Construction Pty Ltd Hosken Site Steel & CFMEU Union Collective Agreement 2015-2019.
